Arrogant: haughty, prond. When I was 8, one of my classmates are very arrogant. She always talk about her places at the first quarter. Then, I beat her at the 2nd, she's never arrogant again.
Displeasure: unpleasure, annoyance, discontentment. My artwork isn't really successful, it makes me displeasure, I feel discontentment.
Benign: nice, kind, benignant. My grand grandmother is benign because she's do kindly to people and helps others when they meet with troubles
Intolerant: illiberal, stringy, vulgar, presistent, stubborn. John didn't listen to any ones' advices,he's intolerant.

My friend

One of my friend is Timmy. He's the one who enjoys in helping others. When I was in my hometown, he sometimes do favors for me. But his life isn't soft, it's hard instead. He was an orphan child when he was 7. Since then, he earns his own money and live alone. He isn't easy to cheat, he can recognize every one easily. I want I and him can be friends ever

A letter from me to you!

Dear Timmy,
      Hi, I'm Conan. I wrote this letter for you to invite you to my party next time- Christmas. It'll be on Dec 24th. Would you like to come with me? I suppose so. I think you should go along with me. It'll be an exciting place for you to come. It'll be hard interesting. That day, you'll be glad.
      If I invited for you to come, it was because I think you need to hang out and recognize a new-day for you. I determine books can help us know many many things, but books are published based on this real life. Don't think the books enough for you, books are just the thing you read to know more but not at all. I think you should change to become better. I saw you're a good person though you act secretly. You have less friends because you are too silent. As you know, nobody is successful IF they're alone. Like you, you need to be friendly to take your dreams come true. You'll realized that you also have a nice life around you. Anything is waiting for you. You will tentatively see it but over time, you'll change, I promised. And why don't you join in? This is a chance for you. Try to look the world in a new way. And you'll own a huge change. Everyone effect you and you effect everyone so you'll have a interaction with others, you can perform a your thinking and listen to others to perfect yourself.
      Besides, Christmas is a blithe holiday and can't complain by anyway. That day you'll understand how lively is it. Moreover, you'll meet my friends- the ones whom is amiable and polite while they're good, too. You can made friends with them easily and you will be delighted and elated. Meet with my friends not awful for you. They usually help others, community and social. They're good people in schools and life, too. Some day, they can hand in your troubles and change you day-by-day. Come back to Christmas, it's the time for you to see more about life, the decoration and excitement of everybody, the streets are crowded with many children wait for presents of Special Santa. All they look so blissful. So will you. Every year, people sometimes get a lucky that day. For example, I've gotten a lucky to learn 2 life lessons. I think you should come along to me. Ok?

Word Power 3

Tedious: boring, not fun, not attentive, not attractive. I  had time being tedious because that time I got the extremely loathing news from my families that I lost and at 7th in 14 people in my English course.
 Archaic: out of date, not fashionable, out-model. My friend has an archaic clothes from his father time. I told him "Recycled it or throw it away, please! It's ancient, it's even able to perform in the museum. It's the most awful clothes I've ever met!"
Vaguely: not exactly, unclearly, indenfinite, equivocal. I met a strange man looks so ferocious. I said hello to him vaguely as I darm him.
Inquiring: investigative, questioning, searching. Once upon the time, I was scared because some body was inquiring to me. It's secretly and mysteriously like it's a kidnapper. Luckily, I realized that's my friend come to see me for an exercise!!!

Words Power 2

Amiably: kindly, decently, lovably and lovely.  
This soccer team plays amiably with others. They don't threat, dare or cheat in games.

Presumptuous: self-important, presumptive, assumptive andarrogant.  
Are you presumptuous when you don't review lessons for the next test? Everyone can beat you.

Credulity: credulous, gullible, easy to trust every body beside there's no evidence.  
Sometimes, I advice to my friend. He easily to trust every body else, without no evidence. He's a credulity men.

Hospitality: the nice way you contact with visitors or tourists.  
When I travel in Singapore, people did prettily to me. I asked the guide, she said the Chinese people attend to hospitality.

Gnarled: bony; crabby,cantankerous.  
That tree lived for a long time, It grows up higher than 1000meters.  It's gnarled. It has too much branches.

Intent: Intention, desire or purpose.  I'm making an intent test before I take it.

Tentatively: Not certain or fixed, provisional. He did his test tentatively, He's not sure what he's writing.

Probing: investigate; or looking at someone very strange. The police is probing a guy that they worry he's a thief.

Impromptu: Done without planned or organized. Suddenly, The test went to me surprisingly so my test is a result from an impromptu activity.

Ominous: giving an prediction that's something bad going to happen. The dark clouds moved above from my head. How ominous! It's beginning to rain heavily.

Memorable experience changed me (ver 2)

  Last year, I've learned with Ms Ha, a famous teacher, there is a rumor that Ms Ha is strict and dudgeon! At first, I was a little flustered by her, but over time, I knew she was extroverted, thoughtful, sociable and fair with everyone. Therefore, I began to admire her. Through I'm here, sometimes, I also call her. Almost all the time when we had classes, she and I made jokes and everyone laughed a lot releasing stress after a long day. And then, I went to Ho Chi Minh city for learning, but sometimes, I also call her. During your life, do you have any experience that makes you change? I guess so. I thought about what I did at my hometown and like you, I have my own change. I remembered a funny change of mine. Suddenly, I got smiley. My change began with a big problem...
   One day in December, I was shocked after I listened to what Ms Ha saying: "Hello, class. Today, I've a good news for you. Do you want to know? I'll tell you now. Our school will have a Christmas fair on Dec 23rd, 2009. What a surprise!!!"
  In a second, she looked at me, she saw that I scowled about something, she had told me: "Well, actually, our fair is a place for business. Every class has space to celebrate, decorate a stall, and sell something to earn money, but the capital is at most 100.000 VND.
   Since then I loathe the fair. I hate crowded places. I hate to meet lots of people. I hate my prediction that we can't win. In summary, I hate all things concern to it. I frowned: "But teacher, I think it's meaningless and worthless, I don't want to come. Can I be absent that day?"
   Ms Ha expressed tenderness and gave me a tip: "Don't like what you say, Conan! You know, It'll be fanatic and useful, you'll change your thinking. Believe me, Conan! I'm an adult as well as your teacher, I don't lie you, trust me! You'll have fun! I think when you're tired about that, try to think about how money we definitely will have. You'll be better later."
   Everyone in class told a lot about it. They smiled a lot until Ms Ha announced to us, one more part at the end. It's a karaoke show, some students from all of classes have to take part in a competition to get the best prize, she told us she was looking for someone to sing. And what's going on here? The person was chosen was me. Oh my God! I suddenly hear chortles of everything, it seemed to tease me. I presented my thinking with her. She explained to me, suggest me to believe to my abilities and believe her. Next, she went back to the class.
    After that class, every day, I felt spooked but I was required to try hard. Also, I'd like our class to be the best one of both parts of the fair. Day after day, I tried to control my fear. It didn't follow my imperative, it grew quicker while the date of fair ran closer, I was uptight and I lost confidence away. But thanks to Ms. Ha and people to support me so I received back my confidence and passed it by working. Just ALONE!
  Then, we determined we’ll sell cacao. It was really delicious after we handed in produce. I ever thought the best prize absolutely belongs to us... And we list all of things we need, we just paid 80.000VND for buying and we could receive the money times 2 or more than that, I felt less stressed now. How lucky!
   But not lucky at all, the day we decided and gave anyone their own jobs, many students were absent because they had to take the final test at the school. We couldn't do it very well but finally, we've done! A small problem was I couldn’t go to the stage lonely so I chose 2 friends come along with me. Just 2 days more, we'll have a competition and we just have this time to work together because this is the last class until the fair, so we had to practice at home, without helping and without directions!
  What need is nubile it is last that also came. The fair was at the time to decorate. The air of the winter made people felt they're near the sea, a little cool and a little fun with a little bustling. They sold a lot, what is sushi, gift card, candy, pictures, jewelry, etc, everything in life. Luckily, with the weather of Christmas, it made people need a warm drink, and some people were thirsty after they eat. We made cacao not very sweet and not very butter, it was a mixture from two great flavors, created a feeling like they are heated under heaven will be cold, a little sweet and a bit of torment!
  Through the fair haven't started yet, there were lots of people came to us. Next, the fair began, but nobody bought it because they don't know how it was, and our advertising staff was so quiet and he was as shy as me. I thought if it's continue being quiet, we'll lose. So I took the courage in both hands, egress function with seduction sentences full of persuasiveness, because I think if I don't do that, who can get money while everyone is too busy? So a little change was decided, I became a new advertising staff. I persuade everyone, I believed that I was attractive and alluring so lots of people visited us. I went everywhere and I persuade them as possible as I can. Everyone dedicated, they work with all of energies and belief they have so why can't I work like them, this time is a real time. Let's start!!!
    We had a promotion, "if you buy 3, you have a sandwich!" Wow, what a cool meal before enjoy the show! Yummy! But it's not very favorable, we sold lots of goods so cacao are exhausted, so 2 of us came home and got a little more. What a pity! Many stalls sold all of their products, they were thirsty. They needed a drink and something to eat, they went to us, but we didn't have anything to sell....
    My friends came back with some new cacao. We continued selling. We just had a short time, because the show nearly started, we sale off and went everywhere. I was the one who keeps money, but I had matters everybody had to resolve! I gave money to another one. When I came back, some of supervisor's arrived and counted how much money we have, we just had 250.000 VND, I've wanted to cheat but heaven doesn't give us a chance! In a short time, I regret and I've whined to gods when I was just a child so it was not as serious as when I got older ( And now, when I miss up that I regret at that time, I got smiley) . We enjoyed the show with shouting! It was great! And next time will be our turn. I got shame, scared and pressure, I decided that I’ll shirk, but my friends supported me Conan, we believe you! How can I avoid and disappoint my believer. 3 of us appeared on the stage. I couldn't say anything and I was stood still there like a doll, my heads were turning around. I thought I was a clown that I was acting for them to see. But, the beliefs of everyone came back to me, it's a strength to make me go forward. After that, I made a ruling I'll Never Give Up! Let's singing!!! No many chances to me, I spoke too much before. Therefore, my voice got angry and broke up with me. At that time, I pouted and grimaced. I became smiling when everyone was cheer me so I tried my best to them.We finished but I wasn’t sad. Besides, I learned two giant lessons. Never Give Up when we didn't do and believe to our capabilities, we can win if we try.
    The show was still happening. I felt and I saw that everybody was singing with all of talents they have. The show has lots of good candidates, as good as the real singers.We had time to enjoy the last amazing performance. HIPHOP show! All the dancers made all the school were so hot with wonderful movements. Awesome! Last of all, jury picked the winning team from two contests, people got nervous to wait for the result....
    We didn't win, I recognized it so I wasn't surprised. The best team at selling earned 251.000 VND and the best team at singing is 7th Adult course! What a strange! I was not sad that I was smiling back instead. After the end of the show, I went back home. I didn't come into my house, I sat under the roof of the house near a lake, saw toward the sights outdoor; the sights are too romantic. Under the dark sky, the air was a little cold but I didn't feel cold like somebody was holding me and prevented me away from the coldness. I knew that I couldn't do anything to disappoint my lovers so I had to change. Don't give up when I didn't try and against to my fear to get better. Instead of I feel cold, I felt warm. I had time to change and learned a new lesson, no, absolutely they were two. I realized the beliefs of my big families to me and I got smiley, a bright smile in the night sky. It was a memorable reminiscence and I WOULDN'T forget what happened today and what nice things my friends did for me....

Homework due Monday - Flowers for Algernon

My answer for question 6, The meaning of the sentence "To pull a Charlie Gordon" is to get Charlie to the main character for their friends in funny games. "Good friends" Charlie've ever saw that now they just use him for kidding and make him as a ridiculous men. That makes Charlie so sad and so ashamed for a long time that he remember what they do for him, what they talk to him and now, he knew what good friends do for him so far and he knew not things always be nice to him anyway since before except his friends as doctors who helped him to get smarter. Just they are people, but they used Charlie as a clown, that's so rude, why can they do that with him- A person who always think they're good friends only? They're so ridiculous and so stupid at all, If They were Charlie, What do they feel? Absolutely, They can't do it with Charlie if they understand. With him, anything was coming Perfect with IQ around 68 but now, that isn't, that goes over 200 to get him know anything they did to him, If I were him, I can't think what will I do to them? Charlie did see them as best friends. That seems terrible!
